Inpatient Pediatric Hospitalist

Job Summary:

Southern Illinois Healthcare (SIH) is seeking two Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Hospitalists to join our dynamic team at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive, hospital-employed setting with a flexible 7 on/7 off schedule, providing inpatient and newborn rounding care. Our team is committed to delivering the highest quality care to pediatric patients while offering a collaborative environment with family medicine residents. Responsibilities:

• Provide inpatient rounding for pediatric patients, including managing both routine and complex medical conditions
• Conduct newborn rounding and perform circumcisions
• Work closely with family medicine residents to mentor and educate the next generation of healthcare professionals
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and high-quality patient care
• Participate in family-centered care and provide patient and family education
• Manage a range of pediatric conditions and provide treatment plans for ongoing care
• Participate in call coverage and after-hours care as part of the rotation

Qualifications and Experience:

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatrics
• Experience or interest in pediatric hospital medicine
• Ability to work collaboratively within a hospital-based team
• Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and staff
• Active or eligible for licensure in Illinois
• Highly successful J1 and H1 visacandidates are welcome to apply

Salary:
